«Elegia d'agost» is Jordi Julià's poetry collection, published by Edicions Saldonar in paperback (80 pages, in Catalan).
Short poems in brief verse that explore the return to childhood landscapes and the passage of time. Jordi Julià contrasts the memory of summers in an almost idyllic setting with the urban transformation of l'Escala and Montgrí, reflecting on memory, the bond with nature, and words that have fallen into disuse.
First edition published in May 2022. Number 19 in the Poemes collection from Edicions Saldonar. Winner of the 2021 Narcís Lunes i Boloix Prize.
A poetry work for general readers interested in memory, landscape, and the transformation of territory.
