«El trabajo intelectual como profesión» is the essay by Max Weber, published in 1983 by Bruguera in paperback (156 pages, in Spanish).
In this essay, Max Weber analyses what intellectual work as a profession entails: the conditions and challenges of the vocation, the meaning this activity has for those who pursue it, and the role of the intellectual in society. Max Weber's reflection moves between sociology and philosophy.
Translation from German by Adan Kovacsics Meszaros. The work belongs to the Libro Blanco collection by Bruguera, number 45.
For students and professionals of sociology and philosophy interested in the thought of Max Weber.
Max Weber was a Jewish-American painter and one of the first American Cubist painters who, in later life, turned to more figurative Jewish themes in his art. He is best known today for Chinese Restaurant (1915), in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, "the finest canvas of his Cubist phase," in the words of art historian Avis Berman.
