«El sueño de la pasión» is the novel by Spanish writer Lourdes Ortiz, published by Planeta in paperback (266 pages, in Spanish).
Through a historical journey with literary characters, the novel presents amorous longing as an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Passion appears as an irreverent, unhealthy and devouring force: dishonest appetite, madness and intoxication of the soul or senses that feeds poems, tragedies, operas, novels and film.
The book belongs to Planeta's La línea del horizonte collection. The first edition, published in Barcelona in 1997, includes bibliographic references.
For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction and literary history interested in the treatment of amorous passion.
