«El secreto de la modelo extraviada» is the mystery and humour novel by Eduardo Mendoza, published by Booket in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
The detective protagonist of the series recalls a case from the 1980s in which he was accused of the murder of a model. More than twenty years later, a trivial incident prompts him to take up that tangle again, revisit the old settings and seek out those involved to close it; the Barcelona of the present is no longer the one he knew.
Fifth instalment of the series El innombrado detective o El paciente del Doctor Sugrañes; the novel was originally published in 2015 and the present edition dates from 2018.
For followers of Eduardo Mendoza and of the detective novel with humour, particularly those who have read the previous instalments.
