«El rey de las letras» is the children's book by Eveline Hasler, illustrated by Lilo Fromm, in paperback from Espasa-Calpe (35 pages, in Spanish).
The monarch of letters gives Máximo a pen, a gesture that awakens in the child a love for writing. Letters appear personified in a short tale, with images that accompany the story and reinforce the link between words and imagination.
Part of the Austral Infantil collection (no. 18); translation by Mercedes Castro of the original Der Buchstabenkönig.
For early readers beginning to familiarise themselves with letters and writing.
