«El Principito» is the poetic and philosophical tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, published by Salamandra in hardback (96 pages, in Spanish).
In this work, a young prince who inhabits a small asteroid travels across different planets and meets characters who embody aspects of human behaviour. Through these experiences, the story reflects on friendship, love, and the need to see beyond appearances.
The work was originally published in 1943; this Spanish edition appeared in 1998 and reproduces the author's drawings.
Although it appears in children's and young adult catalogues, the depth of its reflections has also made it a classic for adults.
Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger, vicomte de Saint-Exupéry, known simply as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was a French writer, poet, journalist and aviator.
