Doctor Faraday remembers the wealth and opulence of Hundreds Hall from his childhood, but the Ayres family's house is now a shadow of what it once was. Something evil seems to have settled there, terrorizing the maid Bettyla, disturbing the dog Gypel, and worryingly transforming Roderick, the owner of the house. Faraday must find an explanation before the house ends its inhabitants. This Círculo de Lectores edition is a mystery and suspense novel set in 20th century England.
