Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a work that marked a turning point in adventure and science fiction narrative. With his masterful style, he immerses us in an expedition to the confines of the unknown, where science, imagination, and danger intertwine in an unforgettable tale. One of the cornerstones of the genre that has inspired generations of readers and writers with its bold exploration of the impossible. Professor Challenger, a character as eccentric as he is fascinating, leads a group of intrepid explorers to an isolated plateau in South America. There, the protagonists will discover a primitive ecosystem that defies all logic, inhabited by creatures that seem to have escaped the passage of time: dinosaurs, hostile tribes, and secrets that could change our understanding of the planet as we know it.

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was a British writer and physician. He is best known for his four novels and fifty-six short stories about the fictional consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson, which are milestones in crime fiction, and for his first work featuring Professor Challenger, The Lost World (1912), which gave its name to a subgenre of speculative fiction. He was a prolific writer who produced over 200 stories and articles, four volumes of poetry, and a number of works for the stage. He was knighted by King Edward VII in the 1902 Coronation Honours.
