«El meu segle» is a short story collection by Günter Grass, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (360 pages, in Catalan).
It brings together one hundred stories, one for each year of the twentieth century, from 1900 to 1999, and offers a chronicle mixing historical episodes with invented anecdotes. It gives voice to real and fictional characters in direct language; together they form a mosaic of the century's great dramas, revolutions and contradictions.
It belongs to the El Balancí collection from Edicions 62, with a Catalan translation by Pilar Estelrich Arce. Original German: «Mein Jahrhundert». Günter Grass received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1999.
Aimed at the general public interested in contemporary fiction and twentieth-century history.
