«El mentalista» is the crime novel by Camilla Läckberg and Henrik Fexeus, published by labutxaca in paperback (752 pages, in Catalan).
In an amusement park on the outskirts of Stockholm, the body of a young woman is found murdered inside a wooden box pierced by swords. Police officer Mina Dabiri, methodical and reserved, is part of the special team investigating the case. When leads run out, she turns to mentalist Vincent Walder to decipher the clues connecting the crime to the world of illusionism. The appearance of another corpse confirms they are facing a serial killer, in a race against time to unravel numerical codes and visual traps of a brilliant and perverse mind.
First instalment of the Mina & Vincent series, written by the author of the Fjällbacka series and mentalist Henrik Fexeus. The original work was published in 2021 under the title «Box», and this Catalan edition includes translation by Pontus Sánchez Giménez and Marc Delgado Casanova.
For readers of crime fiction and Nordic thrillers looking for an investigation with elements of the world of illusionism and visual codes.
