«El maestro del Juicio Final» is a mystery novel by Leo Perutz, published by Bruguera in paperback (76 pages, in Spanish).
The actor Eugen Bischoff commits suicide for no apparent reason. His career is in decline and his wife's former lover reappears, but nothing justifies the terror of his corpse or his last words: «el Juicio Final». The answer may lie in the writings of a Renaissance painter known as the Master of the Last Judgment.
The novel belongs to Bruguera's Club del Misterio collection, where it is number 83.
Aimed at readers of classic mystery and suspense who prefer short novels with an unsettling atmosphere.
Leopold Perutz was an Austrian novelist and mathematician. Born in Prague, he lived in Vienna until the Nazi Anschluss in 1938, when he emigrated to Palestine.
