«El lagarto soñador» is a children's story by Marta Osorio, published by Ediciones Gaviota in paperback (72 pages, in Spanish).
The lizard Heriberto spends his days on a stone in the sun, with his eyes closed, dreaming in a single color: red, blue, yellow, green and white. In those dreams appear a fish and a swallow, two brothers, a ship's boy and chatty balconies. When he meets the duck Heriberta, a multicolored being, he discovers the real world full of nuances.
Gaviota junior collection; sixth edition published in 1999. Text in Spanish. Illustrated by Violeta Monreal.
Aimed at children aged 6 to 8 who are beginning to read and enjoy stories of imagination, color and friendship.
