«El hombre bala que no medía más de un palmo» is the illustrated children's story by Núria Homs Serra, published by edebé in hardback (32 pages, in Spanish).
It tells the story of Lao, a boy who dreams of travelling to space in a rocket with his grey long-eared rabbit. As he grows up, his short stature closes the doors of the School of Space Studies, so he finds an unexpected way out in a circus, where he will fly as a human cannonball.
First edition published in 2011 in the Tren azul collection: My Favourite Stories. Includes illustrations by Mercè Canals and translation from Catalan by Elena Valencia Cortés.
Recommended for early readers aged 3 and up, it is a tale about perseverance and finding alternatives to fulfil one's dreams.
