El fotógrafo descansado is a novel by José Antonio Biosca Barba, published in 1992 by Diseño Editorial. The story follows Felipe Ceballos, an itinerant photographer who works in the mountainous valleys of the Pyrenees of Huesca. Another itinerant artist arrives in the area, a film projectionist, Hugo Carretero, who will be in charge of showing the magic of the new art to the residents of the valleys. Coinciding with some of these film screenings, some deaths occur, accidental or not, which raise the suspicions of the locals towards those foreign artists. The novel covers a large part of the 20th century in a turbulent political environment.
