«El desquite» is the political chronicle by Pedro J. Ramírez, published by La Esfera de los Libros in paperback (836 pages, in Spanish).
Pedro J. Ramírez reconstructs the attempts by Felipe González and the PSOE to regain power and evade judicial responsibility after the Popular Party's victory in 1996, with harassment campaigns against José María Aznar. The author combines political analysis and personal experience, showing how these manoeuvres backfired on their promoters.
The work's full subtitle is «Los años de Aznar (1996-2000)». It was published in 2005 and the ISBN-13 is 9788497342643.
A book aimed at readers interested in recent Spanish politics and journalistic chronicles with a personal perspective.
