«El códice secreto» is the mystery novel by Lev Grossman, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (378 pages, in Spanish).
Edward Wozny, a young investment banker, is tasked with cataloguing the library of an important and mysterious client and discovers a medieval codex. Together with medievalist Margaret Napier, he investigates the manuscript while unsettling parallels emerge between the legend surrounding it and the addictive role-playing game he plays at night.
Work originally published as «Codex»; this Spanish edition is a translation by Albert Solé.
A read for those who enjoy mystery and suspense novels, especially with plots involving old books, codes, and role-playing games.
