«El bosque del Viejo Búho» is a children's story by Carlos Reviejo with illustrations by Teresa Novoa, published by Ediciones SM in hardback, with 30 pages.
An old owl gathers the forest animals every night to tell them stories; among them are tales about a stork and about an owl who needs glasses. The book uses pictograms: some words are replaced by drawings, so that children can take part in the reading.
It is number 12 of the Pictogramas collection, a series of pictographic readers published by Ediciones SM in 2003.
Aimed at children aged 3 to 6 who are starting to read: the pictograms allow them to follow the story even if they do not know all the words.
