Synopsis of El archipiélago en llamas

«El archipiélago en llamas» is the adventure novel by Jules Verne published by Orbis in hardback (222 pages, in Spanish).

During the Greek War of Independence, the pirate Sacratif traffics in prisoners sold as slaves in Tripoli. The Corfu banker Elizondo, enriched by those dealings, has arranged his daughter's marriage to a French officer; his old ties with the pirates threaten the union and unleash intrigues and dangers.

It belongs to the Jules Verne Works collection, number 56, with black-and-white illustrations. The French original, «L'Archipel en feu», was published in 1884.
