«Eine Nachricht für den Weihnachtsmann» is the children's story by Hiawyn Oram, illustrated by Tony Ross, published by Carlsen in hardback (30 pages).
Emily writes to Father Christmas to ask him not to come down the chimney, because it scares her, and suggests he leave the presents at the kitchen door. The story plays with the question of whether Father Christmas will accept the proposal. Tony Ross's watercolour illustrations show the girl on snowy rooftops and chimneys, with a soft, Christmassy tone.
First edition (1. Aufl.) published in 1995, with German text. It is catalogued in the Children's and Young Adult section; Inge M. Artl is listed as translator in the supplier's records.
Recommended from age 3, it is a Christmas read to share aloud with the little ones.
