«Eine kleine Pflanze» is the children's picture book by Eric Battut, published by Bohem Press in hardback (24 pages, in German).
A small plant lives happily though somewhat alone. When another plant sprouts nearby, her joy turns into insecurity and envy: the new neighbor has petals and receives butterflies. Over time, the protagonist learns to recognize her own worth. Simple text and illustrations let the story speak.
Published in 2003.
Recommended from age 5; about self-esteem and accepting differences.
