«Els nens no volen la guerra» is a children's book written and illustrated by Eric Battut, published by Editorial Juventud in hardback (32 pages, in Catalan).
In a peaceful country, two kings have built two identical castles until a bird dropping triggers an absurd declaration of war. The children, who do not want war, embody the rejection of conflict and the desire for peace in this picture book with evocative illustrations.
Text and illustrations by Battut himself; original edition from March 2001.
For young readers and for sharing at home or in the classroom as a starting point to talk about war, peace and coexistence.
