«Ein wunderlicher Rat» is the illustrated children's story by Aliana Brodmann and Hans Poppel, published by Ellermann Verlag in hardback (28 pages, in German).
A folk tale from Eastern Europe, of Jewish tradition, set in a rural environment: it shows children with geese, a wooden house and a cart, in an autumnal atmosphere. Aliana Brodmann's adaptation and Hans Poppel's watercolours recreate the wisdom and humour of classic fables passed down from generation to generation.
First published in 1989 by Ellermann Verlag, based in Munich; in bibliographic records it also appears as «Ein wunderlicher Rat. Bilderbuch».
A book of interest to collectors of classic illustrated albums and to readers drawn to folk tales and the Jewish culture of Eastern Europe.
