«Dos arquivos do trasno» is the short story collection by Rafael Dieste, published by Editorial Galaxia in paperback (112 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together twenty stories in which Rafael Dieste demonstrates precise prose and great narrative efficiency. With a predominance of brevity, the stories move between the realistic and the fantastic, and together made the author a benchmark of the short story.
A title of interest for readers of short fiction and for those who want to approach the work of Rafael Dieste.
Rafael Dieste was a Galician poet, philosopher, short-story writer, and dramatist writing mostly in Galician language, but also in Spanish language. He began to write with the encouragement of another Galician poet, Manuel Antonio, wrote for the theatre and wrote widely on aesthics. His stories have been compared to the other-world approach of the graphic art of M. C. Escher.
