«Donne a fior di nervi» is the humour comic by Maitena Burundarena, published by Mondadori in paperback (189 pages, in Italian).
This book brings together comic strips by Maitena, an Argentine cartoonist and humorist, who portrays neurotic but tender women in everyday scenes taken to the extreme: trying on a swimsuit, the sales or cellulite become existential dramas. Beneath its light and satirical tone emerges a sharp and recognisable portrait of the feminine.
The book appeared in 2003 and the strips were published in Italy in «Tuttolibri», the weekly supplement of «La Stampa»; the Italian translation is by Daniele Brolli.
For fans of graphic humour and social satire, especially those looking for ironic portraits of everyday female life.
Maitena Burundarena, better known as Maitena, is an Argentine cartoonist.
