Immerse yourself in the history of Doña Jimena, the wife of El Cid, through this historical novel by Magdalena Lasala. The author presents us with a strong and educated woman, moving away from the traditionally contemplative image that has been held of her. In the context of the 800th anniversary of the Cantar de Mío Cid, Lasala weaves a detailed fresco of the era, exploring the role of Doña Jimena in the legend and unraveling the truth behind the story narrated in the Cantar.
