«Don Juan Tenorio» is the play by José Zorrilla, published by Ediciones Akal in paperback (256 pages, in Spanish).
Don Juan, a young libertine, bets with don Luis over who has seduced more women. To win, he must conquer doña Inés, his rival's fiancée; the challenge ends in death, flight and a return years later, and the possibility of redemption marks the outcome. A symbol of Spanish Romantic theatre, it blends cloak and sword, religiosity and passion.
