«Diferent» is the young adult fantasy novel by Andreas Steinhöfel, published by Cruïlla in a paperback edition (208 pages).
After an accident, Félix Winter wakes up in hospital with no memories, no apparent emotions, and a disconcerting sincerity. He does not recognise his parents, and no one recognises him; his almost fantastic abilities provoke fear and fascination. The novel asks how we become who we are and whether identity can change.
The work is part of the «Camp a través» collection, in its sixth volume, and features a translation by Aida Aragon i Altarriba.
Recommended reading from age 12, for young people interested in fantasy and questions about identity and adolescence.
Andreas Steinhöfel is a German author for children and young adult books, and a translator.
