Immerse yourself in the dystopia of 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood, a novel that will transport you to the Republic of Gilead, where oppression and the struggle for survival are the daily bread. Through the eyes of Desfred, a young woman turned into a 'handmaid' to ensure reproduction in a devastated society, Atwood presents us with a scathing critique of power, religion and the loss of individuality. This Fischer edition invites you to reflect on the dangers of fanaticism and the importance of freedom.
