«Delta» is the essay by Gabi Martínez, published by Ara Llibres in paperback (416 pages, in Catalan).
Gabi Martínez spends a year on the island of Buda, at the mouth of the Ebro, to portray the Delta: how the locals live with the stigmatisation of fishing and hunting and how to find a balance between people and a natural space threatened by climate change. Storm Gloria was a first warning.
Part of the Ara Pausa collection. First edition published in October 2023. Awarded the Finestres Grant for Non-Fiction Creation 2022.
Recommended for ages 15 and up, especially for readers interested in the environment, climate change and the defence of the territory.
