«Death on the Downs» is the mystery novel by Simon Brett, published by Pan Books Limited in paperback (320 pages, in English).
Carole Seddon finds a human skeleton while walking in the West Sussex Downs and, with her neighbour Jude, sets out to identify the dead person. Local rumours attribute it to Tamsin Lutteridge, a young woman who disappeared months earlier, and their inquiries lead the two women to the small village of Weldsham, where neighbourhood secrets complicate the investigation.
Second instalment of the Fethering Mysteries series, featuring Carole Seddon and Jude.
Recommended for readers of classic mystery and cozy mystery with British touches.
