«Das Sommerversprechen» is the romantic novel by Elin Hilderbrand, published by Goldmann Verlag in paperback (379 pages, in German).
Dabney, the unofficial matchmaker of Nantucket, has brought together more than forty couples. When she is diagnosed with cancer and has little time left to live, she decides to use it to find the perfect partner for the people she loves most: her husband, her lover, and her daughter. Her own romantic past, however, returns to put everything at stake.
The original English title is «The Matchmaker» (2014); this is the first German edition, published in 2015.
Recommended for those who enjoy contemporary romantic novels and summer reads set on the coast of Nantucket.
