«Cuentos para jugar» is a collection of children's stories by Gianni Rodari, published by Alfaguara in paperback (163 pages, in Spanish).
It contains twenty short tales originally conceived for radio and a children's magazine. Rodari blends humour, fantasy and his fine irony to invite children to play with stories, while values such as honesty, generosity and cordiality emerge.
Originally published as Tante storie per giocare, translated by Carmen Santos and illustrated by Gianni Peg. It belongs to Alfaguara's Infantil collection.
Aimed at child and young readers, with stories that invite participation and play.

Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
