«Contes per a nens i nenes políticament correctes», by James Finn Garner, is a paperback book of stories published by Quaderns Crema in Catalan.
The book starts from an ironic premise: the best-known children's stories were born from the exaggerations of men in elitist clubs and carry sexist and racist stereotypes. James Finn Garner rewrites them in a satirical key and with political correctness, with episodes featuring Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, the Three Little Pigs and Snow White.
It belongs to the original Politically Correct Bedtime Stories series (volume 1) and to the Mínima Minor collection (no. 60). Translated from English by Quim Monzó and Maria Roura.
For readers who enjoy satire, humour and alternative versions of classic stories.
James Finn Garner is an American writer and satirist based in Chicago. He is the author of Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, Politically Correct Holiday Stories, Apocalypse Wow, Once Upon A More Enlightened Time, and Recut Madness.
