«Completament sonat!» is the contemporary novel by Gilles Legardinier, published by Columna CAT in paperback (400 pages, in Catalan).
Andrew Blake, a rich Londoner recently widowed, escapes his life on the day of an award and settles in the French countryside as butler of the Beauvillier mansion. There he finds a soulless house and chaotic inhabitants: a widowed mistress, a grumpy cook, an indecisive young woman, a quarrelsome gardener. Andrew will try to bring order with his style.
This Catalan edition, translated by Josep Alemany, comes from the French original «Complètement cramé!» (2012) and belongs to the Clàssica collection.
For readers of contemporary fiction looking for a gentle comedy, with quirky characters and a French rural setting.
Gilles Legardinier is a French novelist. He was the recipient of the 2010 Prix SNCF du polar. He was the third best-selling author in France in 2014.
