«Comedias, vol. II» is a selection of comedies by Aristophanes, edited by Luis M. Macia Aparicio, published by Ediciones Clásicas in paperback (369 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together part of Aristophanes' comic output, one of the great authors of Greek theatre. The plays show his satire of political life and customs of classical Athens: with absurd situations, parodies and exaggerated characters, he turns laughter into an instrument of social criticism.
Volume II was published in 1993.
It will interest students of classical philology and readers of Greek theatre who want to approach Attic comedy.
