«Cirano di Bergerac» is the heroic comedy in five acts and in verse by Edmond Rostand, published by Mondadori in paperback (222 pages, in Italian).
In seventeenth-century France, Cirano, a man of great wit and courage plagued by his enormous nose, secretly loves his cousin Roxana. To win her, he lends his words and passionate letters to the handsome but inexpressive Christian, giving rise to a love triangle marked by humour, heroism and sacrifice.
It belongs to the Oscar Teatro collection by Mondadori, number 15, and includes an introduction by Guido Davico Bonino.
A read for those who appreciate classical theatre and romantic stories of wit, humour and sacrifice.
