Chronique du règne de Nicolas Ier

Synopsis of Chronique du règne de Nicolas Ier

«Chronique du règne de Nicolas Ier» is Patrick Rambaud's satirical chronicle, published by Grasset in paperback (169 pages, in French).

A satirical chronicle that imagines Nicolas Sarkozy's presidency as a new reign. With irony, it narrates the daily life of the «sovereign», his wife and his court of ministers and courtiers, portraying gestures, quirks and flattery of power. It starts from real events and turns them into a political farce with a tone reminiscent of Saint-Simon.

First instalment of the «Chroniques du règne de Nicolas Ier» series. The work is set in French politics from 2007 onwards.

For readers of political satire and chronicles about Sarkozy's presidency, and for fans of humorous fiction based on real events.
