«Casa vacía» is the children's story by Ramón Trigo, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in hardback (32 pages, in Spanish).
A boy takes shelter from the rain in a seemingly empty house and, as he explores it, discovers that it is not entirely so: it still holds his footprints, his shadow, his reflection, and the traces of those who lived there. With expressive illustrations and suggestive colouring, the work invites reflection on memory and on what remains in places.
Written and illustrated by Ramón Trigo, it is part of the Los álbumes de Sopa de Libros collection from Anaya. Recommended reading age: 6 to 8 years.
