«Cartas a Theo» is Vincent van Gogh's correspondence, published by Ediciones Paidós in paperback (432 pages, in Spanish).
A selection of the letters Vincent van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo between 1872 and 1890; of the more than eight hundred preserved, almost all were addressed to Theo. In them the artist speaks of his work, his ambitions and his precarious situation, and together they form a first-person narrative of his life and his painting.
This 2004 edition includes translation, biographical fragments, notes and epilogue by Antonio Rabinad and is part of the Paidós Estética collection (number 35).
A book for readers interested in Van Gogh, artists' correspondence and the history of painting.

Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade he created about 2,100 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings, most of them in the last two years of his life. They include landscapes, still lifes, portraits and self-portraits, and are characterised by bold colours and dramatic, impulsive and expressive brushwork that contributed to the foundations of modern art. His suicide at 37 followed years of mental illness and poverty.
