This book is a compilation of the best caricatures by the Catalan artist Luis Bagaría, made during the time of the Spanish Republic. Bagaría, a friend of Ramón Casas and Picasso, was a prominent caricaturist who captured in his drawings the most relevant figures of Spanish culture, society, and politics. The volume also includes texts by writers such as Unamuno, Pío Baroja, and Azorín, who praised Bagaría's work. In addition, it is completed with numerous self-caricatures by the author and an anthology of his political works, where Republican leaders and international figures such as Franco, Hitler, and Mussolini appear.
