«Capitanes del Caribe» is Kai Meyer's young adult fantasy novel, published by EDB Infantil Ficción in hardback (304 pages, in Spanish).
After a magical storm, children born in pirate ports can walk on the waves. Years later, Jolly, raised among pirates, flees after a boarding and meets Munk, another with that gift. Their encounter unleashes the pursuit of forces that want to eliminate the last sea walkers; both cross the Caribbean to discover their origins.
First installment of the trilogy Los Caminantes del Mar; the original German title is Die Wellenläufer, translated by Lluís Serra.
For readers aged 10 to 14, with a taste for young adult fantasy and pirate adventures.
