This book tells the story of crossing the Atlantic alone in a small sailboat on the occasion of the first Minitransat. The López-Alonso brothers, Gonzalo and Guillermo, encouraged and supported by a large and enthusiastic group of friends from the Real Club Marítimo de Santander, embark on the adventure of participating in this regatta. The author, who replaced Gonzalo when he felt unwell during the previous stage of the regatta, tells us his impressions and memories from the preparations and the start of the regatta in Penzance (England), to the arrival in Antigua in the Windward Islands, passing through Santander and Tenerife. With a direct style Guillermo explains his experiences in navigation, written in the logbook, mixing them with the experiences extracted from his personal diary in which he wrote letters to his girlfriend.
