«Balena» is an illustrated children's story by Miquel Rayó, published by Lynx Nature Books in paperback (46 pages, in Catalan).
The story gives voice to a whale who shares tales of the sea, with lighthouses, sailors, her friend Jonah and his family. After the tale, an educational section addresses questions about whales, such as which is the largest, whether they are fish and what they eat.
It belongs to the Ales de paper collection and was published in February 2005. The illustrations are by Mireia Coll Ribas and Àngels Jutglar Jutglar.
Recommended for children aged 7 to 10, as it combines a story about marine life with a section of knowledge about whales.
