«Aylin et Siam» is the young adult science fiction novel by Eric Simard, published by Syros in paperback (398 pages, in French).
In 2132 the sea has almost completely covered Paris; only peaks of monuments with survivors remain visible. Aylin, thirteen years old, lives on the islet of Mont Valérien. Some boys with webbed fingers who live in the Tower of the Elves, the former Eiffel Tower, communicate with dolphins. Fascinated, Aylin disobeys the ban on approaching them.
First instalment of the series «Le Cycle des destins», originally published in 2013 by Syros.
Suitable for young readers who enjoy dystopias, post-catastrophe futures and adventures with a teenage protagonist.
