«Auto-Retrato num Espelho Convexo e Outros Poemas» is John Ashbery's poetry collection, published by Relógio D'Água in paperback (276 pages, in Portuguese).
Portuguese edition of the poetry collection that established Ashbery as a central figure in contemporary poetry. With a preface and translation by António M. Feijó, the poems continue his exploration of little-travelled territories and reaffirm a singular poetic voice, far from conventional paths.
The original collection, «Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror», was published in 1975 and received the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award.
Recommended for readers of contemporary poetry interested in twentieth-century American literature and in Portuguese editions.
John Lawrence Ashbery was an American poet and art critic.
