«Au nom du père et de la fille» is the novel by Françoise Dorin, published by J'ai Lu in paperback (320 pages, in French).
Georges Vals, a tax adviser, is stunned to discover that his daughter appears naked on the poster of an erotic film. Far from sharing his outrage, friends and family congratulate and envy him for the media notoriety it brings. The novel satirises with mordant humour society's obsession with fame and appearances.
The cover includes «Roman» as a subtitle and an illustration of a woman in a car; the J'ai Lu logo appears in the top left corner.
Aimed at a general audience interested in French fiction and social satire about fame and image.
