«Au Jardin des Bêtes Sauvages» is the children's illustrated book by Pierre Vellones, published by Patrick Reboud in paperback (40 pages, in French).
It brings together sixteen musical pieces with texts by French composer Pierre Vellones, adapted for piano and clarinets by Patrick Reboud and Marie Mazille and illustrated by Capucine Mazille. The voice of Anne Sylvestre narrates a poetic bestiary featuring animals such as a philosophical ostrich or a hippopotamus who fancies himself an etymologist. The 40-page full-colour book comes with two audio CDs: one with the music alone and another with the narration over the music.
Work published in 2016 in French and illustrated in colour by Capucine Mazille. Includes two audio CDs of 16 tracks with a total duration of 45 minutes.
Recommended for children aged 3 and up and for adults interested in classical music, illustrated books and children's literature in French.
