«Almanach des enfants» is a children's almanac of collective authorship, published by Hachette BNF in paperback (116 pages, in French).
«Almanach des enfants» reproduces the French almanac of 1899 and brings together pastimes and games for boys and girls, with illustrations and texts from the period. The work shows how the youngest entertained themselves at the end of the 19th century and recovers the layout and spirit of the original publication.
Facsimile reproduction of the original 1899 edition. Published in November 2024 as part of Hachette Livre's French press preservation programme, with the participation of the BnF.
Work of interest to those studying French children's press and pastimes of the late 19th century.
