«Alfonso Bonzo» is the children's book by Andrew Davies, illustrated by Tony Ross, published by Hachette (93 pages, in French).
Alfonso Bonzo is the king of barter, and his way of negotiating is the core of this children's story. Throughout his adventures, the protagonist manages to get what he wants through exchanges, with absurd results and a humorous tone supported by Tony Ross's illustrations.
The work belongs to Hachette's 'Livre de poche copain' collection; the French translation is by Hélène Amalric. It was published in 1988.
It is aimed at a children's audience, especially early readers who enjoy illustrated and humorous stories.
