After the Spanish Civil War, Celso Puentes returns home with his cart and beasts, determined to help those most in need. Guided by his wise friend Antonio the Hermit, Celso becomes a near-biblical figure who defies the Franco regime through solidarity and kindness. This rural comedy, with mystical and Quixotic touches, is a tribute to freedom and a fun reflection on religious myths and the richness of language.
